On October 3, 2024, a significant milestone was marked at the University of Tuzla with the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone for the construction of the first building within the University Campus.
The foundation stone was laid by: Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić, PhD, Full Professor and Rector of the University of Tuzla, Irfan Halilagić, Prime Minister of the Tuzla Canton Government, Žarko Vujović, President of the Tuzla Canton Assembly, Dr. Ahmed Omerović, PhD, Minister of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton.
Following the ceremony, a special program was held during which several distinguished guests addressed the attendees, including: Dr. Damir Zenunović, PhD, Full Professor and Head of the Campus Development Operational Unit, Vedrana Vuković, President of the Student Parliament.
This event officially marked the opening of the first construction site at the University Campus. The building under construction will serve as the future home for four faculties: Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Law.
The first phase of construction is expected to be completed within 16 months. This development represents a major step forward in the realization of the University’s long-term vision to centralize and modernize its educational infrastructure.
