Tuzla, 26 November 2021
On Thursday, 25th November of the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, delegation of the University in Tuzla headed by the Rector Prof. Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić, paid tribute and laid flowers at the Partisan Memorial Cemetery, at the Zlatni Ljiljan Monument – murdered defenders of Tuzla and Bosnia and Herzegovina 1992 – 1995 and at the Cemetery of Civilian Victims – Slana Banja.
On this occasion, it is worth recalling that the citizens and people of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 25th November, 1943, by holding the 1st session of ZAVNOBiH (State Anti-fascist Council for the National Liberation of Bosnia and Herzegovina), renewed the continuity of BiH, establishing its statehood at a time when a large number of European nations and states were called into question. BiH has built and defended its identity, statehood and independence primarily due to the high awareness of Bosnians and Herzegovinians who put their country before all other values and interests. Let this day be an opportunity to remember all those who weaved their lives into the foundations of an independent and sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina..
