The University of Tuzla is proudly participating as an associated strategic partner in the project titled Resilience-Driven Enhancement of Socio-Economic Upscaling of the Danube-Drava-Sava Macro Region – UPSCALE DDS, which is funded under the SMF Program for the Danube Region.
The primary aim of this project is to design a comprehensive initiative that supports the development of the peripheral areas within the Danube-Drava-Sava macro region by increasing their participation in EU financing systems. It also focuses on strengthening resources, developing key competencies, and building capacities in less-developed regions for target groups. Strategically, the project aims to foster capacity building and competency development, empowering communities to efficiently utilize available resources and take full advantage of opportunities for sustainable development.
The first workshop within this project framework took place at Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, from November 4 to 5, 2024. The University of Tuzla was represented by Prof. Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić, Rector of the University, and Prof. Dr. Nermin Sarajlić, Vice Rector for Scientific Research. The workshop provided an excellent platform for project partners to showcase their institutions, while also addressing key challenges and identifying development potentials within the project’s scope.
