Solemn Academy - 44th Anniversary of the University of Tuzla

A Solemn Academy was held on December 18 at the University of Tuzla for the purpose of celebrating 44th anniversary of the only public higher education institution in the Tuzla Canton. The ceremony brought together academics, the management of the University of Tuzla, and numerous representatives of official institutions of Tuzla and Tuzla Canton.

Mayor of Tuzla, Mr. Jasmin Imamović and the Minister of Education and Science of the Government of the Tuzla Canton Ms. Fahreta Brašnjić addressed to everyone. Many guests were prevented from attending the Solemn Academy due to epidemiological measures.

Rector of the University of Tuzla, Dr.Nermina Hadžigrahić, Full Professor gave special awards to tenured professors as follows:

Nine graduates of the University of Tuzla, who completed their studies with an excellent average grade, were awarded with gold plaques of the University for their success during studies. University of Tuzla has provided free of charge enrolment at the next cycle of studies for the following graduates:

  2. AZRA IBRIŠEVIĆ, Faculty of Medicine, average grade 9,80.
  3. BENJAMIN AVDIĆ, Faculty of Special Education and Rehabilitation, study program Special Education and Rehabilitation, average grade 9,95.
  4. FARIS HASANOVIĆ, Faculty of Law, average grade 10,00
  5. ASJA ATIKOVIĆ, Faculty of Technology, study program Agronomy, average grade 9,50.
  6. ARNELA OSMANOVIĆ, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Social Work, average grade 9,57.
  7. ALEN HATKIĆ, Faculty of Pharmacy, average grade 9,60
  8. IBRAHIM MUJIČIĆ, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, study program Electrical Engineering and Computing, average grade 9,80.
  9. MUHAMED IBRIĆ, Faculty of Economics, Department of Finance, Banking, average grade 10,00.

Also, during the ceremony, Dr. Zumreta Kušljugić, Full Professor and Dr. Mevludin Avdić, Full Professor have been awarded the title of Professor Emeritus by the Rector of the University of Tuzla, while students of the Music High School “Čestmir Mirko Dušek” from Tuzla have performed during artistic part of the ceremony.
