The solemn promotion of graduates and masters of the University of Tuzla was held on 21 December 2023 at the University Hall.
A total of 675 graduates and master’s degree, divided into three groups, were promoted at the promotion.
In the first group, diplomas were awarded to graduates and master’s students of the Faculty of Technology, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and the Faculty of Huumanities and Social Sciences.
Graduates from the Faculty of Huumanities and Social Sciences took the Socratic oath, while graduates from the Faculty of Pharmacy took the Hippocratic oath.
In the second group, diplomas were awarded to graduates and master’s degree holders from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, the Faculty of Education and Rehabilitation Sciences, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Academy of Dramatic Arts, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Economics. Graduates from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics took the Socratic oath.
In the third group, diplomas were awarded to graduates and master’s degree holders from the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Mining, Geology, and Civil Engineering. Graduates from the Faculty of Medicine took the Hippocratic oath.
Graduates and masters of all groups were addressed by the Rector of the University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić who emphasized that this is not an ordinary day, that it is a day to celebrate the achievements of all graduates and masters, that everyone is happy that today we have so many young people who are looking for knowledge, new and better achievements.
As always, representatives of the Government of Tuzla Canton showed their support to the University of Tuzla during the ceremony. The Minister of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton, Ahmed Omerović, and the Minister of Health, Dušanka Bećirović, attended the graduation ceremony.
Minister Ahmed Omerović addressed the graduates from the third group and wished them success in applying their knowledge in practice.
Harun Delić, a graduate from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, majoring in Computer Science and Informatics, with an average grade of 9.775, delivered a speech on behalf of the promoted graduates and master’s degree holders. He was awarded the Golden Plaque as the Student of the Year.
The ceremony ended with the traditional toss of hats.
