The Bologna Process is the most significant and most widespread reform process in the field of higher education in Europe, committed to the creation of a unique academic area in response to the overall process of globalization and technological development, which enables academic mobility and diploma recognition. Bologna Process defines the basic objectives of the reform of higher education that should be carried out until 2010. Magna Charta Univesitatum, which was signed in 1988 in Bologna by the European universities, served as the foundation for the creation of the European Higher Education Area and defined the freedom and autonomy as fundamental principles on which we should base the development of higher education.
