COOPERATION BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF TUZLA AND UNIVERSITIES IN TURKEY SHOULD RAISED TO A HIGHER LEVEL

 

Rector of the University of Tuzla Prof.Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić with her associates on 10 November 2021 hosted Faruk Berata Akçeşme, Counselor for Education at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey.

 

Rector Hadžigrahić welcomed and pointed out the good cooperation, as well as the signed agreements and special satisfaction that the University has with universities in Turkey. Rector said that the outbreak of the COVID 19 virus and epidemiological measures did not allow this really good cooperation to rise to one higher level.

 

Counselor for Education Mr. Berata thanked for the hospitality and informed management of the University that the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to make more efforts to strengthen the cooperation of the University of Tuzla with other universities in the Republic of Turkey. He pointed out that there are over 230 universities in the Republic of Turkey with extremely modern and well-equipped laboratories.

 

In addition to the exchange of students and administrative staff within the ERASMUS projects, the introduction of double study was discussed, as well as the organization of meetings with the rectors of universities in Turkey with the University of Tuzla.

 

On that day, a meeting was organized at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science which was attended by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Nihada Delibegovic Džanić, Prof.Dr. Melinda Botalić, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature and Prof.Dr. Mehmet Nuri Çınarcı, where he spoke with Mr. Berat on strengthening future cooperation and possible internationalization of higher education.
