H.E. Christine Toudic, French Ambassador to B&H visited the Rectorate of the University in Tuzla on 5th October 2021, where she met with Prof.Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić, Rector, Prof.Dr.Vesna Bratovčić, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Prof.Dr. Nermin Sarajlić, Vice-Rector for Research, Prof.Dr. Jasmin Suljagić, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Students Affairs and colleagues from the International Relations Office and Office of Research.
During the visit of Ambassador Toudic to the University of Tuzla, Rector Hadžigrahić emphasized the importance of connecting and strengthening cooperation between France and B&H in the field of higher education and high technologies.
Rector Hadžigrahić pointed out at the successful cooperation between the University of Tuzla and the Embassy of the Republic of France to B&H, emphasizing that during the last joint project, a total of 260 students and teachers of the University of Tuzla expressed their desire and willingness to learn French.
Ambassador Toudic expressed her openness and readiness of the Embassy of France for all new ideas related to cooperation. She stressed that her great desire and mission was to reintroduce French as a second language in primary and secondary schools in Tuzla and Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this way, primary and secondary school students would have the opportunity to learn French and acquire a certain level of knowledge of this language, and during their studies at the university they could participate in student exchange in France.
In addition to the expressed openness for the continuation of the successful cooperation between the University of Tuzla and the Embassy of the Republic of France in B&H, during the meeting they discussed about the achievement and strengthening of cooperation between the University of Tuzla and the University of the Republic of France and it was proposed to organize a fair of French universities at the University of Tuzla.
