The first hackathon was realised at the Faculty of Technology, University of Tuzla, as part of the Erasmus+ TRUST project

At the Faculty of Technology, University of Tuzla, in the INTERBA Laboratory-Computer Centre, from March 13 to 15, 2026, the first of four hackathons within the Erasmus+ TRUST project Triggering Resilience in Up-and-coming Security Threats was realised. In the implementation of this project, from the University of Tuzla, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Technology participate.

This event marks the beginning of a series of four hackathons across the Western Balkans. In Tuzla, 16 selected students formed transdisciplinary teams, representing five partner higher education institutions from Belgrade, Tuzla, Podgorica, Banja Luka, and Bijeljina. From the University of Tuzla, students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Technology participated.

The aim of the hackathon was to foster knowledge exchange and drive the creation of innovative solutions to contemporary security challenges. The event in Tuzla lays the foundations for the upcoming activities and organisation of other hackathons in Bijeljina, Banja Luka and Podgorica.

We are proud of our role in the Erasmus+ programme and the TRUST project, as well as our collective contribution to strengthening regional resilience against various challenges.
