On 12 February 2026, the Rector of the University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Amir Karić, hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Manahan M.P. Sitompul, who paid an official visit to our higher education institution together with members of his delegation.

During the meeting with the Rector of the University of Tuzla, discussions focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation, with special emphasis on connecting the faculties of the University of Tuzla with related institutions in the Republic of Indonesia.

The Ambassador highlighted the importance of strengthening educational and cultural cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Indonesia, emphasizing that universities play a key role in connecting young people, facilitating knowledge exchange, and promoting intercultural dialogue.

The Rector of the University of Tuzla expressed his satisfaction with the visit and readiness to establish concrete forms of cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, as well as through the implementation of joint academic and research activities in the forthcoming period.

The visit of the Ambassador and his delegation represents a significant step toward strengthening the international cooperation of the University of Tuzla and further confirms the institution’s commitment to internationalization and collaboration with higher education institutions worldwide.
