Third Congress of Persons with Disabilities titled: “Assistive Technologies for a More Inclusive Society in BiH”

The University of Tuzla is pleased to announce the participation of the Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Vesna Bratovčić, at the Third Congress of Persons with Disabilities titled: “Assistive Technologies for a More Inclusive Society in BiH.”

The Vice-Rector participated in a panel discussion titled: The Role and Application of New Technologies in the Development of Assistive Technologies and Technologies Enabling the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in the Community, Opportunities and Challenges. This panel focused on the latest technological innovations and principles of universal design that significantly enhance the quality of life for persons with disabilities.

Discussions included the role of research and development in assistive technologies, as well as the potential of artificial intelligence and robotics for the future of this field. Special emphasis was placed on ways to encourage the application of new technologies in BiH, the current situation, and regional cooperation in implementing innovative solutions.

The panel also served as an opportunity to showcase past activities and plans within the Erasmus+ project “(Harvesting (digital) Alternation in Ways that Knock-down Inaccessibility of New Generations) – HAWKING”, of which the University of Tuzla is a partner.
