K-Force is a regional project involving 14 partner institutions and two associated partners. The total budget of the project is approximately 1.237.129,00 EUR, and it is planned to last 3 years.
The project’s objective is to improve regional cooperation in building professional capacities capable of professional and quality management of crisis situations (floods, fires and other disasters) at the level of integrated EU strategies.
In order to reach the goal of a more secure and stable society, capable of addressing the risks of natural and other disasters, the K-FORCE program will create and launch effective, modern and sustainable Master’s and Doctoral Studies in the field of Disaster Risk Management and Fire Safety Engineering at 6 higher education institutions in the Western Balkan countries.
The Master program, whose first-generation of students are planned for academic year 2018/19, will be unique at all 6 higher education institutions, harmonized with similar EU studies, but also tailored to the specifics of higher education and the real needs of civil society in the region. Doctoral study is a natural continuation of a master’s degree, followed by a master’s degree.
The program is divided into 9 work packages, of which the fourth package (Implementation of the Master Program at 6 Higher Education Institutions of the Western Balkan Countries) is chaired by the University of Tuzla, Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering.
On this occasion, we invite all those interested in informing about the progress and dynamics of the project as well as all the significant dates of realization of certain project segments through the website of the University of Tuzla (www.untz.ba), Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering Tuzla (www.rggf.untz.ba) and the official web address of the project (http://kforce.uns.ac.rs) .
