University of Tuzla Signs Cooperation Agreement with Mountaineering Association “Konjuh” to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the Srebrenica Genocide

Univerzitet u Tuzli potpisao sporazum o saradnji s Planinarskim društvom „Konjuh“ povodom 30. godišnjice genocida u Srebrenici

 

On May 19, 2025, the University of Tuzla signed a formal cooperation agreement with the Mountaineering Association “Konjuh” from Tuzla, with the aim of jointly organizing the annual Peace March as part of the activities marking the 30th anniversary of the genocide in Srebrenica.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Nermina Hadžigrahić, Rector of the University of Tuzla, and Prof. Dr. Sabit Zekan, President of the Mountaineering Association “Konjuh”.

This collaboration represents a meaningful contribution to collective remembrance, education, and the preservation of historical memory. It symbolically bridges the academic community and civil society in a shared commitment to honoring the victims and reinforcing the universal message: “Never Again.”

Through this partnership, the University of Tuzla will take an active role in both the planning and logistical support of the Peace March, with participation from its students and academic staff. In doing so, the University underscores its ongoing dedication to solidarity, moral responsibility, and enduring remembrance.
