On 20 April 2026, the final match of the University Futsal League for students was held at the University Sports Hall, organized by the Student Parliament of the University of Tuzla and the Center for Sports, Culture and Arts.
The final featured teams from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. After an exciting match, the final score was 10:6 in favor of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, which claimed the league title.
In the match for third place, the Student Parliament of the University of Tuzla faced the Student Dormitories team, with the Student Dormitories winning 4:2 and securing third place.
Awards for the top three teams were presented by the Rector of the University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Amir Karić.
A special award for the league’s top scorer went to Hamza Rezić from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport team, who scored 18 goals, while Amir Numanović from the Student Dormitories team was named the league’s best goalkeeper.
The winning team will receive additional scholarships awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Tuzla Canton.
The organizers announced that, in addition to the existing league, basketball and volleyball leagues will also be established in the coming period, with the aim of involving as many students as possible, promoting quality use of free time, encouraging healthy lifestyles, and strengthening student unity.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Amir Karić, Rector of the University, was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his selfless support and continuous contribution to the development of student sports.
