Students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Tuzla Part of the Winning Team in the Generation Change Programme

Students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Tuzla – Almir Hajdarhodžić, Dženana Beširović, Amar Hasanović, and Amina Hadžimehmedović – together with students from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Banja Luka, were members of the winning team #TasteOfUnity, which earned a study visit to Brussels as part of the Generation Change programme.

After several weeks of creative work, public voting, and evaluation by an expert jury, their video was selected as the best #GenChange video. Through an original concept and creative execution, the #TasteOfUnity team successfully conveyed a powerful message of unity, cooperation, and connection among young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Generation Change programme, implemented by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina, brought together more than 500 students from eight public universities across the country over the past year. Through a series of activities organized at universities in Bihać, Banja Luka, Sarajevo, Mostar, Zenica, East Sarajevo, and Tuzla, students had the opportunity to engage in dialogue, exchange ideas, and creatively reflect on the European future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The final phase of the programme included the GenChange BootCamp, where 32 selected students continued to represent their faculties in a competition for a study visit to Brussels. As a result of this final phase, four videos were produced, collectively achieving more than four million views on social media.

The Head of the Delegation of the European Union and EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Luigi Soreca, emphasized that the ideas, cooperation, and friendships developed through Generation Change resulted in a creative campaign that inspired people across Bosnia and Herzegovina to vote, share, and support their favourite videos.

Amar Hasanović, a student of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Tuzla, congratulated all participating teams on their excellent cooperation, noting that he was especially proud of his team and delighted by their victory. He highlighted that the #TasteOfUnity video carries a message that everyone can recognize and support, as food is a universal language that brings people together.

As recognition for their outstanding effort, creativity, and teamwork, the winning team was awarded a study visit to Brussels, where the students will have the opportunity to present their work and gain valuable insights into the functioning of the European Union.

The University of Tuzla extends its sincere congratulations to the students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, as well as to all participants of the Generation Change programme, on their remarkable achievement, creativity, and promotion of the values of cooperation, unity, and the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
