Combining Knowledge and Practical Skills: Experimental Workshop “Summer School of Phytotherapy – Preparation of Herbal Tea Blends (Species)” Held as Part of the 31st Summer University Tuzla

At the Faculty of Pharmacy, an experimental workshop was held for the first time within the framework of Summer University Tuzla 2026, focusing on the practical application of pharmacognosy knowledge through the preparation of herbal tea blends.

Following an introductory lecture, where participants had the opportunity to learn about the fundamentals of phytotherapy and the formulation of effective and safe herbal tea mixtures, students took part in hands-on workshops to test and develop their practical skills. In addition to gaining valuable experience, they also took home the herbal tea blends they had prepared themselves.

The workshop was organized under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Sc. Ermina Cilović Kozarević, with the support of Senior Teaching Assistant Mr. Ph. Lamija Kolarević, pharmacy practitioner Mr. Ph. Lejla Mekić, and second-year students Emela Ahmetović and Kerim Hodžić.

We are proud that our students recognize the importance of phytotherapy in modern pharmaceutical practice and approach every practical task with enthusiasm.
