Results of research cooperation between colleagues of the Faculty of Technology of the University of Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Fakultete za kemijo in kemijsko tehnologiju Univerze v Mariboru (Slovenia) and Carnegie Mellon University, Department of Chemical Engineering (USA), are presented at a prestigious conference entitled “24th Conference on Process Integration for Energy Saving and Pollution Reduction – PRES’21” held from 31/10 – 3/11 2021 in Brno, Czech Republic, and published in the journal Chemical Engineering Transactions.
1948 authors from 67 countries took part in the conference, of which 505 authors from 62 countries presented their research results. More detailed information about this conference is available at the following web link https://conferencepres.site/pres21/program/#accepted-abstracts.
We are pleased that among these authors were two representatives from Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Faculty of Technology of the University of Tuzla, in the narrow scientific field of “Chemical Engineering” (Dr. Nidret Ibrić, Associate Professor and Dr. Elvis Ahmetović, Full Professor).
The published data in the journal Chemical Engineering Transactions are given below:
Ibrić N., Ahmetović E., Kravanja Z., Grossmann I.E., 2021, Synthesis of Heat-Integrated Water Networks: Case Study with Sensitivity Analysis, Chemical Engineering Transactions, 88, 1147-1152.
The paper is available on the following website: https://www.cetjournal.it/cet/21/88/191.pdf and it represents a part of the activity that was implemented within the framework of a research project conducted at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Tuzla under the supervision of a Dr. Elvis Ahmetović, Full Professor.
Colleagues from the narrow scientific field of science “Chemical Engineering” at the Faculty of Technology of Tuzla University have a successful long-term cooperation with colleagues from the Faculties of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Univerze v Mariboru, Laboratory of Technological System Engineering and Sustainable Development (more than 20 years) and with Carnegie Mellon University, Department of Chemical Engineering (more than 12 years), and this cooperation will continue in the future.
